This is the second in a series of single cask exclusives between the Kelly family & O’Connell Whiskey Merchants. A cask-strength, triple-distilled single malt re-racked into the same Madeira cask used for our very first collaboration.
- Distilled at Great Northern Distillery in 2017
- Initially matured in an ex-Bourbon cask
- Re-racked in January 2023 into a refill ex-Madeira cask

Tasting Notes
- Nose: Expect vibrant and sweet fruit notes, with the Madeira cask contributing to aromas of ripe apricots, figs, and perhaps a touch of raisin. The oak from the Madeira cask adds a layer of vanilla and subtle spiciness, complementing the overall bouquet.
- Palate: The initial sip might reveal a burst of sweetness, with the fruity notes from the nose carrying over. Look for flavors like honey, baked apples, and a continuation of the dried fruits.
- Finish: The finish is medium to long-lasting, with a gradual fade of the sweet and fruity notes. The Madeira cask leaves eave a lingering impression of dried fruits and a touch of wine-like complexity.
