Fannacht Fada 18 ("Long Wait" in Gaelic, a fitting name for a spirit of such patience and depth) was meticulously distilled at the fabled Kilbeggan Distillery, Ireland's oldest continually licensed whiskey distillery. Each drop carries the legacy of centuries of unparalleled craftsmanship and the unique character of its historic home.
Daithí O'Connell has carefully nurtured this rare malt since it arrived in our warehouse via our friends from a Swedish Whisky Club who purchased it while visiting Kilbeggan 18 years ago. After fifteen years in a 100 litre cask, we recasked it into ex-Irish single malt cask from Cooley that was previously used for our Family Reserve 20 release. For three years, we nurtured it gently ensuring it reached its peak of complexity and elegance. The result is a whiskey of extraordinary depth, with a rich and nuanced flavor profile that speaks to its heritage and showcases exactly what whiskey from Ireland can and will be known for in years to come.

To underscore its rarity and distinction, the Fannacht Fada 18 release is strictly limited to just 102 bottles and bottled at 55.2% natural cask strength. This makes it an incredibly exclusive offering, a true collector's item that will never be replicated. The name was chosen by the Swedish Whisky Club members and we decided to print the label using the official flag colours of Sweden with a beautiful gold wax dipped finish and hand written back label. Owning a bottle of Fannacht Fada is acquiring a unique piece of Irish whiskey history.
