This is the first release in that series.
Distilled at Cooley Distillery and matured for twelve years, this expression is a vatting of two exceptional single grain casks - one seasoned with Islay peated whisky, one finished in madeira. The result is a whiskey that shouldn't work on paper but absolutely does: the smoke from the Islay cask threads through the lush, dried fruit richness of the madeira, with single grain's naturally light, approachable character holding it all together. Bottled at cask strength 61% from just 90 bottles, it is by definition a one-time thing.
